I sold my Kawasaki Ninja 250R! I waved my froggy goodbye and I gave it a last kiss. I waited for 10 seconds and… It didn’t turn into a prince sadly.
A lot you followers asked me: “Why did you sell your bike?!” Well, let me explain it to you girls (and guys). Since 2014 the rules for riding a motorcycle have changed in the Netherlands. These changes are going to be applied for the whole EU, for countries that don’t have these rules yet. It looks like this:
Age | License | Motorcycle |
18 – 19 | A1 | Max. 11kW/125cc |
20 – 23 | A2 | Max. 35kW/300cc |
22 / 24* | A | All |
* You can go for license A if you’re 24 years or older.
Now that’s clear, I think you can already guess why I sold my Ninja. I loved the Ninja, but the last couple of months it made me feel uncomfortable. More like I was riding a scooter, wearing a full leather suit. No offence to my followers who ride a 250cc or less, but that was just how I felt. You can compare it to wearing clothes which you don’t fit anymore.
It was never my intention to keep the Kawasaki, because it wasn’t my dreambike. So, after 2 years enjoying my green frog, I sold the Kawasaki Ninja and bought a new motorcycle…
The Yamaha R6!
How. Cool. Is. That! The Yamaha R6 was my dreambike when I started loving motorcycles. I thought I could never afford one, well, atleast not this fast. But since I graduated this January, I started working and saving money. If there is one thing I always tell myself, it’s:
Don’t dream about what you want; Set goals to reach them.
And that’s exactly what I did! I haven’t been able to ride my R6 yet, due to the renewal of my driverslicense. Yes, I turned 22 recently, but I didn’t get my first license on this exact date. So for now, I have to wait… and wait… and… customize my Yamaha!
Isn’t she loooovely? Isn’t she won-der-ful? I have some customization things in mind, which you will see on Instagram and Snapchat – so go ahead and follow me!
Until next time! XOXO Beauty Biker
